OPEC+ group's quota to increase by 170,000 bpd in April

At the latest meeting, the eight leading OPEC+ members decided to boost oil output in April by 206,000 bpd over March levels

MOSCOW, April 1. /TASS/. The oil production quota for the eight OPEC+ countries will increase by 170,000 bpd in April compared to March, reaching 32.706 mln bpd, according to TASS calculations.

At the latest meeting, the eight leading OPEC+ members decided to boost oil output in April by 206,000 bpd over March levels. Meanwhile, Iraq, the UAE, Kazakhstan, and Oman are expected to compensate for 793,000 bpd in April, up from 756,000 bpd in March, according to the updated overproduction compensation schedule.

According to TASS calculations, the production cap for the eight countries stands at 32.536 mln bpd in March and rises to 32.706 mln bpd in April. This marks a month-on-month increase of 170,000 bpd.

The next meeting of the group is scheduled for April 5, the same day as the OPEC+ Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) meeting.
