NOVO-OGAREVO, March 31. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has opened a new passenger terminal of the Blagoveshchensk International Airport in the Far East via a video link.

The head of state took part in the ceremony for opening of several transport facilities in Russian regions.

The airport is "called to give an extra impetus to socioeconomic development of the Amur Region and the Far East at large, and expand tourist and business ties with foreign countries," the head of state said.
