LONDON, March 19. /TASS/. The Pearl gas-to-liquids plant in Qatar owned by Shell was damaged as a result of Iranian strikes, Reuters reported, citing a spokesperson of the oil and gas major.

The fire outbreak at the plant was quickly extinguished, the news agency said. The damage is being assessed in cooperation with local authorities and QatarEnergy company. Shell owns 100% in the Pearl plant and 30% in the LNG plant located in the Ras Laffan industrial area.
