Russia-Saudi trade could exceed $4 bln in 2025

RIYADH, February 9. /TASS/. Trade turnover between Russia and Saudi Arabia could exceed $4 bln by the end of 2025, Russian Industry and Trade Minister Anton Alikhanov told reporters.

In January-November 2025, bilateral trade amounted to $3.6 bln.

"We hope that by the end of the year, our trade turnover figure will exceed $4 bln," he said.

According to Alikhanov, the backbone of trade between the two countries consists of raw materials, industrial inputs, and agricultural products. The main objective, he added, is to diversify bilateral trade.

Speaking later at the plenary session of the exhibition, the minister noted that Russia imports chemical products, plastics, seafood, and other in-demand goods from Saudi Arabia. Alikhanov also said that discussions with Saudi counterparts are scheduled for today on projects in mining, metallurgy, unmanned vehicles, and pharmaceuticals.
