Russian stocks up as main trading session opens
The yuan rises by 4.1 kopecks against the ruble
MOSCOW, February 3. /TASS/. Russia’s stock market went up as the main trading session started on Tuesday as the MOEX and RTS indices added 0.82% to 2,791.14 points and 1,141.58 points, respectively, according to trading data as of 10:00 a.m. Moscow time (07:00 a.m. GMT). The yuan exchange rate against the ruble gained 4.1 kopecks as trading opened compared with previous closing to 11.037 rubles.
By 10:20 a.m. Moscow time (07:20 a.m. GMT), the indices had narrowed gains to 0.74% reaching 2,789.14 points and at 1,140.76 points, respectively. Meanwhile the yuan exchange rate was up by 6.5 kopecks at 11.061 rubles.
The MOEX Index with additional IMOEX2 ticker added 0.78% as morning trading session started on the Moscow Exchange as of 7:00 a.m. Moscow time (4:00 a.m. GMT), reaching 2,790.06 points.
