MOSCOW, January 2. /TASS/. Europe imported a record amount of liquefied natural gas (LNG) last year as shown by TASS’ estimates based on Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE) data.

The 2025 data show that LNG flows from European terminals into the EU gas transportation system exceeded 142 billion cubic meters, which is 28% more than in 2024.

In December, LNG imports also hit a record 12.7 billion cubic meters, which is 2% more than in November and 21% higher compared to December 2024.
