Hainan launches unified government services portal for foreign investors and tourists
The portal operates under the “Government + Service” principle and provides one-stop access to 44 of the most in-demand government services

An international service portal for the Free Trade Port of the southern Chinese province of Hainan has been launched to simplify business operations, tourism, and residence procedures for foreign nationals on the island, according to the news portal Zhongguo Xinwenwang.
Available at en.hainan.gov.cn, the platform is a multilingual resource that integrates 29 specialized provincial information systems. The website’s structure includes seven main sections, among them “Doing Business in Hainan,” “Online Services,” and “Information Center,” each tailored to the specific needs of foreign entrepreneurs and expatriates.
The portal operates under the “Government + Service” principle and provides one-stop access to 44 of the most in-demand government services. Users can remotely complete residence registration, make appointments at medical institutions, register a business, obtain information on visa-free travel, and submit applications for work permits or driver’s licenses.
According to He Jifeng, Deputy Director of a special office for optimizing the Hainan business environment under the provincial government, the launch of the platform marks an important step in improving service systems for foreign nationals. He said the authorities intend to further enhance the portal’s functionality to create a “high-level market, legal, and international business environment” on the island.
