MOSCOW, October 17. /TASS/. The RTS Index gained more than 1% after the release of official exchange rates by the Bank of Russia for the weekend, according to the Moscow Exchange.

The regulator increased rates to 80.98 rubles for the dollar, 94.58 for the euro, and 11.34 rubles for the yuan.

The RTS Index ticked up by 1.36% to 1,055.75 points. The MOEX Russia Index added 4.07% to 2,714.04 points.
