MOSCOW, October 16. /TASS/. The MOEX Russia Index with the additional code (IMOEX2) surged by 6.22% to 2,703.35 points.

The index is above 2,700 points for the first time since September 29 of this year, fueled by details of the telephone conversation between leaders of Russia and the United States.
