Cargo turnover of Russian seaports down 2.3% YOY in 9M 2025 — regulator

According to the Association of Commercial Seaports, dry cargo throughput totaled 322.6 mln metric tons

MOSCOW, October 10. /TASS/. The cargo turnover of Russian seaports dropped by 2.3% year on year to 653.4 mln metric tons in January - September 2025, the Association of Commercial Seaports said on its website.

"According to information available with the Association of Commercial Seaports, the cargo turnover of Russian seaports declined by 2.3% over nine months of 2025 against the like period of the last year and amounted to 653.4 mln tons," the Association said.

According to its data, dry cargo throughput totaled 322.6 mln metric tons (-3.2% annually). Bulk goods throughput stood at 330.8 mln metric tons (-1.3%).

Transshipment totaled 512.3 mln metric tons for exported goods (down 2.8%), 30.9 mln metric tons for imported goods (-1.9%), 56.1 mln metric tons for transit cargo (+12.1%), and 54.1 mln metric tons (-10%) for cargo in coastal transportation.

The freight turnover of seaports dropped by 6.5% to 65.1 mln metric tons for the Arctic basin, by 1.3% to 203.9 mln metric tons for the Baltic basin, by 7.9% to 193.2 mln metric tons for the Azov-Black Sea basin, and by 17.7% to 5.7 mln metric tons for the Caspian basin. The freight turnover of seaports in the Far Eastern basin gained 5.5% to 185.5 mln metric tons.
