BELGRADE, October 9. /TASS/. JANAF, the Croatia-based operator of the Adriatic oil pipeline, informed that there is no opportunity since October 8 to perform the oil transportation contract with Serbian NIS because it did not secure a required license.

"JANAF has received information that the company NIS has not obtained the license required to continue implementing the Crude Oil Transport Contract, meaning that, as of 8 October 2025, further implementation of the contract will no longer be possible," the oil pipeline operator said.

"JANAF continues to actively work, in cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Croatia and the Company's US legal advisors, on exploring possible solutions in accordance with the applicable regulatory framework," the company said.

The company is financially strong and stable, and well-prepared for all market challenges, JANAF noted. "Stress tests and analyses conducted have confirmed the Company’s resilience and security across all segments of its operations," it added.

"JANAF will continue with its planned activities of business diversification and expansion into new markets, which have so far been the foundation of the Company’s business success," said the Management Board of the oil pipeline operator.
