Russian pipeline gas supplies to China up 21% in January-July

BEIJING, August 20. /TASS/. Russia exported $5.69 bln worth of pipeline gas to China in January-July, which is 21.3% higher than in the same period last year, according to figures released by the General Administration of Customs of China.

Russia is followed by Turkmenistan (down by 12.7% to $4.95 bln), Myanmar (over $922 mln), Kazakhstan (around $600 mln), and Uzbekistan (around $460 mln).
According to data provided by the General Administration of Customs, China imported pipeline gas worth $21.1 bln in 2024, which is 8.6% higher than in 2023. Supplies from Russia rose by 25% to $8.03 bln.
