BEIJING, August 20. /TASS/. Russia exported $5.69 bln worth of pipeline gas to China in January-July, which is 21.3% higher than in the same period last year, according to figures released by the General Administration of Customs of China.

Russia ranks first in supplies of this energy source to China, according to data released. No information has been provided by the customs service on physical volumes of pipeline gas supplies.

Russia is followed by Turkmenistan (down by 12.7% to $4.95 bln), Myanmar (over $922 mln), Kazakhstan (around $600 mln), and Uzbekistan (around $460 mln).

According to data provided by the General Administration of Customs, China imported pipeline gas worth $21.1 bln in 2024, which is 8.6% higher than in 2023. Supplies from Russia rose by 25% to $8.03 bln.
