ARKHANGELSK, August 13. /TASS/. The Ecological Monitoring of the Onega Peninsula expedition finished working in the Arkhangelsk Region, Governor Alexander Tsybulsky wrote on Telegram. The expedition found potentially hazardous objects on the White Sea coast.

"The expedition's team inspected the coast near the village of Pertominsk, the Solovki Islands and the Kuzova archipelago. Abandoned machinery was found there - barges and tugs, more than 20 metal barrels, oil ditches and a marine engine. The expedition used satellite data to register the potentially hazardous objects' coordinates," the governor wrote.

The volunteers inspected the White Sea coast off the Mustang sailing yacht. They will pass collected data to the regional environment authority that will make a plan to clean up the area jointly with the Clean North - Clean Country Movement.

During the expedition, the volunteers tested an innovative neural interface developed by the Russian University of Technology to improve work safety in the Arctic. This technology quickly identifies signs of fatigue and stress in specialists who work in difficult conditions.
