WASHINGTON, June 7. /TASS/. Chinese leader Xi Jinping has agreed to resume supplies of rare earth minerals to the US, President Donald Trump told reporters.

We wanted clarification," the president said, referring to the upcoming meeting between US and Chinese representatives in London.

Trump emphasized that he had a good conversation with the Chinese leader. "It's a complicated deal, but it's a deal that will bring us a lot of money and a lot of everything else," he added, referring to the agreements with Beijing.

Earlier, Trump announced that a new ministerial meeting on bilateral trade issues between the United States and China would take place on June 9 in London. The US delegation will include Treasury Secretary Scott Besent, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, and US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer. The agreement on the new meeting was reached Thursday during a telephone conversation between Trump and Xi Jinping.

Negotiations on trade and economic issues between the US and China took place in Switzerland on May 10-11. As a result, the parties announced a mutual reduction in tariffs starting May 14.
