Eight OPEC+ countries discuss accelerated output increase in July — Bloomberg
According to the agency, one of the options under consideration is an increase of 411,000 barrels per day
MOSCOW, May 22. /TASS/. Eight OPEC+ member states are discussing the possibility of another accelerated increase in oil production in July, which would mark a third consecutive monthly rise in output, Bloomberg reported.
According to the agency, one of the options under consideration is an increase of 411,000 barrels per day, which is three times higher than the previously planned level. However, Bloomberg noted that a final agreement has not yet been reached.
The eight OPEC+ countries that are voluntarily reducing oil production are expected to deliberate on the July production plan during the meeting scheduled for June 1, as previously stated by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.
Earlier, the group had decided to accelerate production increases in May and June by 411,000 barrels per day in each month, aligning with the original three-month output growth plan. The next meeting to determine the production strategy for July is set for June 1.
