MOSCOW, May 22. /TASS/. Around 85% of cyberattacks around the world in 2026 will be carried out using artificial intelligence, according to Stanislav Kuznetsov, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank.
"Artificial intelligence is becoming a key tool for cybercriminals. By 2026, 85% of cyberattacks will involve its use. AI facilitates the creation of new viruses, phishing websites, and deepfakes, and helps identify vulnerabilities. DDoS attacks, ransomware, and Trojans - all of these threats are being amplified by artificial intelligence," he said.
According to him, cybercrime is emerging as an increasingly large-scale threat, and global digitalization, along with international conflicts, only serves to intensify this trend. This year alone, the number of cyberattacks has nearly doubled, and many companies around the world are not prepared to confront this, Kuznetsov emphasized.
