Associated petroleum gas output fell by 4.6% in the period to 26.1 bln cubic meters

MOSCOW, April 23. /TASS/. Russia’s cumulative gas production (natural and associated petroleum gas) fell by 5.5% in January-March 2025 year-on-year to 181.1 bln cubic meters (bcm), the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) reported.

In particular, natural gas production amounted to 155 bln cubic meters in Q1, down by 5.9% in annual terms. In March, production equaled 53.8 bcm, which is 13.5% higher than in February 2025, and 1.1% lower than in March 2024.

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) production totaled 8.7 mln tons in Q1, down by 4.1% compared with the same period in the previous year. In March, LNG production equaled 2.9 mln tons, which is 3.7% lower than in March 2024, and 8% higher than in February 2025.

Associated petroleum gas output fell by 4.6% in the period to 26.1 bln cubic meters.
