Russia does not consider joint management of ZNPP with US — deputy PM
On March 25, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that the transfer of control over the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) to Ukraine or any other country would be impossible
MOSCOW, March 26. /TASS/. Russia is not contemplating the possibility of joint management of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant with the United States, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stated in a media briefing.
"I am not aware of any such discussions. I believe that no situation involving joint management of the nuclear power plant is currently being considered," Novak added.
On March 25, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that the transfer of control over the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) to Ukraine or any other country would be impossible. Additionally, any joint operation of the ZNPP with another state is deemed unacceptable. The close cooperation between NATO countries' intelligence agencies, which possess significant sabotage capabilities, and Ukraine further complicates the possibility of granting even temporary access to representatives from these nations to the ZNPP.
Meanwhile, media reports cite Vladimir Zelensky, who indicated that it could take up to 2.5 years to restart the ZNPP with the involvement of Ukraine and the United States.
