Russia, India ink five accords in Arctic cooperation sector

MURMANSK, March 26. /TASS/. Representatives of Russian and Indian institutions signed five agreements at the Northern Forum - India Research conference in New Delhi, Executive Director of the Northern Forum Vladimir Vasilyev told TASS.
"Five accords were inked in total, including by the Northern Forum with the Vivekananda International Foundation and the Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology. Pacts were also sealed by the Project Office of Arctic Development and the Russian Union of the Travel Industry with partners from India," Vasilyev said on the sidelines of the Arctic - Territory of Dialogue forum.
The Jawaharlal Nehru University confirmed its intention to become a member of the Russian-Asian Arctic Research Consortium, Vasilyev noted. "The traditional educational summit in New Delhi will take place in May, with this membership planned to be formalized on its sidelines. This is a leading university known for advancements in the fields of technology, environmental studies, and social sciences," he added.
