MOSCOW, March 17. /TASS/. The volume of trading on the Moscow Exchange stock market over the weekend - March 15 and 16, 2025 - amounted to 15.4 bln rubles ($178.36 mln), which is 50% higher than during the first trading weekend on March 1 and 2, the Moscow Exchange said in a statement.

According to the platform, more than 88,000 clients of banks and brokers concluded 365,000 transactions and 31 professional participants participated in the trading. Liquidity during the trading was supported by market makers.

Trading is conducted within an additional weekend session as part of the trading day following the weekend. At the first stage, 53 of the most liquid shares are admitted to weekend trading. To reduce volatility risks and ensure liquidity, price limits for weekend trading are narrowed to 3% of the closing price of the previous trading day.
