Modern glamping in Murmansk Region due in 2027

MOSCOW, March 17. /TASS/. A business resident of the Russian Federation's Arctic Zone will open in the Murmansk Region a modern glamping in Apatity in 2027, press service of the Russian Ministry for Development of the Far East and Arctic said.

"The Sosnovaya Gorka Company, a business resident of the Russian Federation's Arctic Zone, is upgrading a recreation center in the city of Apatity, the Murmansk Region. The property is next to Lake Imandra and the Khibiny ski slopes. The first stage of construction will include a campground and 6 houses of various comfort levels, designed to accommodate annually 2,400 guests. Under an agreement with the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, investments in the upgrade and construction will make 10.5 million rubles ($123,000). The renovated glamping will host first guests in 2027," the press service said.

The recreation center has been working since 1975, but it does not meet modern requirements any longer. The company's Director Marina Scriabikova explained the business resident would upgrade engineering communications, cabins, a sauna and a dining room, will improve the territory, make renovations, and purchase equipment. The company will build another 9 more comfortable houses, a restaurant, and a sauna complex.

There are 297 business residents in the Murmansk Region. The businesses have invested 53 billion rubles ($619 million) in the region's economy and created 3,000 jobs. As many as 50 investment projects have been put into operation.
