Russia accounts for about 60% of the Belarusian foreign trade turnover, the Russian leader noted
MOSCOW, March 13. /TASS/. Trade between Russia and Belarus is carried in national currencies by more than 90% and it is thereby protected from third countries’ influence, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a press conference after Russian-Belarusian talks.
"Our national currencies account for more than 90% of all the payments in Russian-Belarusian commercial operations. Mutual trade and investments are thereby safeguarded against influence of third countries and negative trends in international markets," the Russian leader said.
Russia accounts for about 60% of the Belarusian foreign trade turnover, Putin noted. Such turnover gained about 6% and was above $50 bln as of the end of 2024, which is record high, he added.
