Russian oil supplies to China down 12% in January — OPEC report
Total oil imports by China declined by 11% month on month or by 1.3 mln barrels daily in January 2025 to 10 mln barrels per day
MOSCOW, March 12. /TASS/. China reduced Russian oil supplies by 12% in January 2025, the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) said in its March report.
The share of Russia in total Chinese oil imports dropped to 19% from 20% in December 2024. Malaysia was second in terms of oil supplies to China (13% of the total volume). Saudi Arabia was third with almost 13%.

At the same time, according to Kpler analytical agency data quoted by OPEC, Russia accounted for 33% of total oil imports of India in January against 38% one month before. Iraq supported 21% of supplies to India, and Saudi Arabia accounted for 14%. Total Indian oil imports edged up by 3% monthly to 4.9 mln barrels per day in January 2025.
