MOSCOW, March 6. /TASS/. Miners can be offered to invest into their own generation, with such opportunity discussed during the working meeting of Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak and head of Novye Lyudi (New People) faction in the State Duma Alexey Nechaev, the Russian government said.

"Parameters were also discussed for continuation of the cryptocurrency mining business with consideration of specificities of the electric power system in different regions of the country," the Cabinet said.

Novak and Nechaev also discussed issues of improving legislation in digital currency mining regulation sphere in the environment of restrictions or prohibitions of such business in certain Russian regions.

Mining is legalized in Russia since November 2024 on condition of providing the fiscal service with details of produced assets and crypto wallet addresses.
