MOSCOW, March 4. /TASS/. Sales of new passenger cars in Russia fell by 25% in February 2025 year-on-year to 77,300 units, the Industry and Trade Ministry reported, adding that in monthly terms sales decreased by 13%.

Sales of passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, trucks and buses in Russia totaled 91,300 units in February, which is 27% lower than in the same period in 2024, and 11% lower than in January 2025.

The ministry noted the persisting strong influence of macroeconomic factors on the market dynamics, high rates of car loans in particular.
