Around 93% of flowers come to Russia from Netherlands, Ecuador, Kenya, and Colombia

Since the beginning of 2025, customs authorities have cleared 17,000 tons of fresh cut flowers for 12.2 bln rubles ($136.46 mln)

MOSCOW, March 4. /TASS/. About 93% of flowers come to Russia from the Netherlands, Ecuador, Kenya, and Colombia, the Federal Customs Service reported.

"Traditionally, roses (7,500 tons), tulips (4,000 tons), chrysanthemums (3,000 tons), and carnations (1,000 tons) are mainly brought to Russia. Around 93% of flowers come from four countries: the Netherlands (6,400 tons), Ecuador (6,800 tons), Kenya (1,400 tons), and Colombia (1,300 tons). The largest volume of declarations falls on the Moscow and North-West electronic customs," the report said.

Since the beginning of 2025, customs authorities have cleared 17,000 tons of fresh cut flowers for 12.2 bln rubles ($136.46 mln). The volume of customs payments amounted to 4.1 bln rubles ($45.85 mln), with the average customs value of flower products reaching $7.44 per kg.

Since February 17, in anticipation of March 8, the volume of cut flower deliveries has increased - customs officers release more than 450 tons daily. Clearance is proceeding normally, flowers are released within 3 hours.
