Trading volume on Moscow Exchange markets reaches $1.48 trillion in February
The average daily trading volume was 246.7 bln rubles ($2.75 bln)
MOSCOW, March 3. /TASS/. The total trading volume on the Moscow Exchange markets in February 2025 amounted to 132.5 trillion rubles ($1.48 trillion), the Moscow Exchange said in a statement published on the platform's website.
Thus, according to the exchange, the trading volume of shares, depositary receipts, and stakes in January amounted to 4.9 trillion rubles ($54.6 bln). The average daily trading volume was 246.7 bln rubles ($2.75 bln).
The trading volume of bonds reached 2.9 trillion rubles ($32.33 bln), excluding overnight bonds. The average daily trading volume was 142.7 bln rubles ($1.59 bln). The total volume of bond placements and buybacks amounted to 1.8 trillion rubles ($20.06 bln), including the volume of overnight bond placements worth 445 bln rubles, the statement said.
"The trading volume on the futures market reached 12.4 trillion rubles. The average daily trading volume was 619.4 bln rubles," the press release emphasized.
According to the exchange, the trading volume on the money market was 100.3 trillion rubles ($1.12 trillion), the average daily volume of transactions was 5 trillion rubles ($55.74 bln). In the total trading volume on the money market, the volume of repo transactions with the central counterparty reached 37.8 trillion rubles ($421.4 bln), the volume of repo transactions with clearing participation certificates was 49 trillion rubles ($546.36 bln).
