Russian exports to African countries increased by 14.62% to $24.3 bln, while imports added 2.94% to $3.5 bln

MOSCOW, February 26. /TASS/. Russia’s foreign trade surplus rose by 7.79% in 2024 to $150.9 bln, according to figures released by the Federal Customs Service.

Exports increased by $8.6 bln in the reporting period to $433.9 bln, while imports fell by $2.3 bln to $283 bln. Consequently, Russia’s trade turnover edged up by 0.89% in 2024 compared with 2023 to $716.9 bln.

Exports to European countries fell by 20.37% to $68.4 bln, while imports lost 6.88% to $73.1 bln, according to the service. That said, Russia’s exports to Asian countries gained 7.58% to $329.2 bln, while imports from those countries edged up by 1.92% to $191.2 bln.

Exports to countries of North and South America edged down by 1.65% to $11.9 bln, while imports lost 1.33% to $14.8 bln.
