ST. PETERSBURG, February 19. /TASS/. The attack against the Caspian Pipeline Consortium will provoke steadily high prices in international markets that are of no interest for consumers, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"Why do they need it? It is not clear because this will lead to steadily high energy prices in global markets, in which consumers of energy resources, such as European companies, are certainly not interested," Putin said.
The new US administration sends signals that it is also interested in stable prices in the energy market, the Russian leader said. "By the way, the current administration also reiterated that it seeks after stabilizing or even lowering energy prices," Putin added.
