Russia becoming key trade partner of Kazakhstan in 2024
According to statistical estimates, Kazakhstan imported goods from Russia valued at $18.252 bln in 2024, up 8% year on year
ASTANA, February 18. /TASS/. Russia became the primary trade partner of Kazakhstan by imports, with the share of Russian merchandise standing at 30.5% of all goods imported by the republic since last January, the Bureau of National Statistics of Kazakhstan reported.
"Top partner countries of the Republic of Kazakhstan in imports are Russia (30.5%), China (25.3%), Germany (4.7%), the United States (3.8%), the Republic of Korea (3.2%), and France (3.1%)," the statistical bureau said. The main export partners of Kazakhstan as of 2024 year-end became Italy (22.9%), China (18.3%), Russia (11.7%), the Netherlands (6.5%), France (4.5%), and Turkey (4.1%).
According to statistical estimates, Kazakhstan imported goods from Russia valued at $18.252 bln in 2024, up 8% year on year. Exports to Russia from Kazakhstan declined by 6.5% annually to $9.546 bln.
