Positive business sentiment may increase after Putin-Trump conversation
According to Alexander Shokhin, more than 300 people have registered for the forum - representatives of Russian and foreign companies, business associations, government agencies, development institutions, and the expert community
MOSCOW, February 13. /TASS/. The telephone conversation between Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump may contribute to a more positive assessment of conditions for foreign economic activity by Russian businesses, Head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Alexander Shokhin said at the International Forum of Russian Business Week.
"We are conducting a survey of registered participants and we will analyze it carefully, but now we can share some thoughts based on the responses of registered participants. The results of the expectations of changes in external conditions for the foreign economic activity of companies indicate a moderately positive mood of the participants. It is clear that the survey was conducted before the telephone conversation between (US President Donald - TASS) Trump and Russian President Vladimir - TASS) Putin. Now, probably, the moderately positive mood would become more positive. Well, given that we do not yet have the final results of the agreements on Ukraine, the negotiations are in full swing, so we will have the opportunity to understand before the Congress (the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Congress), which will be held at the end of March, how geopolitics affects business expectations," Shokhin said.
According to Shokhin, more than 300 people have registered for the forum - representatives of Russian and foreign companies, business associations, government agencies, development institutions, and the expert community.
