"Mexico is one of Russia’s key Latin American partners in both regional and international affairs," Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, was quoted as saying. Russia and Mexico will mark the 135th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in December of this year, he added.
"We are seeing high levels of interest in cooperation with Russia from the Mexican business community and in turn, Russian companies are showing interest in cooperating in the fields of medicine, mineral resource extraction, renewable energy sources, tourism and other areas. The cooperation of individual Mexican states with Russia’s regions is also worthy of attention. All this points to the timely nature of this business forum and means that we can bank on it being a success and playing a role in the continued development of Russian-Mexican relations," Kobyakov noted.
Participants of the Forum "will discuss prospects for collaboration between Russia and Mexico in the fields of trade and investment cooperation, the tech industry (energy, digitalization, ICT, pharmaceuticals), science and culture," Roscongress said.
