MOSCOW, February 5. /TASS/. Sales of new passenger cars in Russia amounted to 89,000 units in January 2025, which is 11% higher than last January, Autostat analytical agency reported.
"According to data provided by Autostat agency, 89,072 new passenger cars were sold in Russia this January, which is 11% higher than in the same month in 2024," the report said.
The home-produced Lada brand secured the largest share of sales of almost 31% (27,500 units) in the reporting period, followed by China’s Haval with a 13.3% share (11,800 units), and China’s Chery with a 10.06% share (8,960 units). The Chinese Geely and Changan were also among top five brands, with shares equaling 6.98% and 5.7%, respectively.
