MOSCOW, December 27. /TASS/. Exports of red caviar from Russia in 2024 amounted to slightly more than 1,000 tons, which less than 10% of its production, Chairman of the Fishing Union Alexander Panin sain in an interview with Rossiya-24 TV channel.

"This year we exported a little more than 1,000 tons of red caviar, which is a little less than 10%," Panin said. He noted that on average, Russia exports 10-30% of its red caviar production per year.

Earlier, Head of Russia’s Federal Fisheries Agency Ilya Shestakov said that the volume of caviar production in Russia in 2024 will be sufficient for the domestic market.
