Russia harvested 124.96 mln tons of grain in 2024 — statistics
The figure is lower than last year, when 144.96 mln metric tons were harvested
MOSCOW, December 25. /TASS/. According to preliminary data, grain and pulse crops were harvested in Russia this year to the amount of 124.96 mln metric tons (net weight), including 82.4 mln metric tons of grain, the Russian Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) reported.
The figure is lower than last year, when 144.96 mln metric tons were harvested.
Data can be updated when summarizing results on the basis of data from agricultural producers about harvesting of late crops.
The official forecast for grain harvesting in Russia in 2024 stands at 130 mln metric tons.
Russia provisionally harvested 1.16 mln metric tons of rye, 16.7 mln metric tons of barley, 13.2 mln metric tons of corn, 3 mln metric tons of oats, 1.26 mln metric tons of rice, 1.2 mln metric tons of buckwheat, and 322,000 metric tons of millet in 2024.
Furthermore, the harvest totaled 16.6 mln metric tons of sunflower, 7 mln metric tons of soybeans, 4.7 mln metric tons of rapeseed, 41.9 mln metric tons of sugar beet, 18 mln metric tons of potatoes, 13.7 mln metric tons of vegetables, and 3.8 mln metric tons of fruits and berries.
