Flights to other destinations are being made as scheduled, the air carrier said
BAKU, December 25. /TASS/. Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) suspended flights from Baku to Grozny and Makhachkala until completion of the investigation related to the airplane crash near Aktau in Kazakhstan.
"Flights of Azerbaijan Airlines on routes of Baku - Grozny and Baku - Makhachkala is suspended until completion of the investigation," the AZAL’s press service said.
Flights to other destinations are being made as scheduled, the air carrier added.
The Embraer 190 passenger jet of Azerbaijan Airlines en route from Baku to Grozny crashed on Wednesday near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. According to the latest data, 69 people were on board. Thirty-two people survived the crash, the Azerbaijan’s Office of Prosecutor General said.
