Russia’s GDP growth will be 3.9-4% by year’s end — Deputy PM

Alexander Novak reiterated that the Russian economy was currently experiencing sustainable and dynamic development

MOSCOW, December 25. /TASS/. Russia’s GDP growth will be 3.9-4% by the end of 2024, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said in an interview with the Rossiya-24 TV channel.

"We expect by the end of the year - if we look at the current trend of the second half of the year - we will reach 3.9-4% economic growth rates for the year," he said.

The Deputy Prime Minister reiterated, the Russian economy is currently experiencing sustainable and dynamic development.

"Last year, our economic growth rate was 3.6%. This year, according to the Economic Development Ministry, economic growth over the first 10 months of this year is even higher - 4.1%. Almost 8% in total over two years. Of course, this speaks to the sustainability of our economy," he said.

He also recalled that Russia has entered the world's top four largest economies in terms of purchasing power parity this year.
