Flights from Istanbul, Almaty, Tomsk heading to Kazan diverted to Samara

According to Russia’s Federal Agency for Air Transport, the temporary restrictions on the work of Kazan airport were introduced early in the morning of December 25

KAZAN, December 25. /TASS/. Flights from Istanbul, Almaty, Tomsk to Kazan airport have been redirected to Samara as Tatarstan's capital temporarily does not receive or dispatch flights, the airport's press service told TASS.

"Flights from Istanbul, Almaty, Tomsk have been diverted to an alternative airport in Samara following a decision by flight commanders," the press service said.

According to Russia’s Federal Agency for Air Transport, the temporary restrictions on the work of Kazan airport were introduced early in the morning of December 25 to ensure the safety of flights of civilian aircraft. The airport temporarily does not receive or dispatch flights.
