MOSCOW, December 24. /TASS/. Russia’s pork exports increased by 36% year-on-year in January-November 2024 to 204,600 tons, beef exports grew by 27% year-on-year to 37,600 tons, the Russian agricultural watchdog (Rosselkhoznadzor) reported.

"Based on the results of 11 months of 2024, Rosselkhoznadzor notes positive dynamics of export growth for most types of livestock products. Compared to the same period last year, the export of edible by-products of pigs and cattle increased by 39% from 45,500 to 63,300 tons, exports of pork were up by 36% from 150,200 to 204,600 tons, exports of beef increased by 27% from 29,700 to 37,600 tons," the report says.

Meanwhile, the export of poultry meat and by-products increased by 23% - from 294,100 to 360,500 tons, finished meat products grew by 19% from 69,200 to 82,400 tons, exports of dairy products went up by 18% from 157,600 to 185,200 tons. At the same time, a decrease in the volume of fish and seafood exports by 25% was noted - from 2.08 to 1.57 million tons, exports of lamb decreased by 25% from 10 to 7,600 tons, exports of horse meat by 12% went down from 1,900 to 1,700 tons.

Main importers

According to the regulator, the main importers of Russian livestock products are the EAEU states (Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia) and the CIS states (Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan), African states (Algeria, Angola, Gabon, Egypt, Congo, Cote d'Ivoire, Mozambique, Nigeria), Asian states (China, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Mongolia, Iran and the Middle East (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman), as well as Serbia and Georgia.

The agricultural watchdog also reported that currently Russia has access to livestock products in more than 105 countries of the world.
