MOSCOW, December 24. /TASS/. The Russian stock indices began to decline after a slight growth at the start of trading, according to data from the Moscow Exchange.

As of 10:00 a.m. Moscow time, the MOEX index grew by 0.31%, to 2,710.92 points, the RTS index - also by 0.31%, to 840.43 points.

By 10:15 a.m. Moscow time, the MOEX index began to decline and amounted to 2,681.35 points (-0.78%), while the RTS index was at 831.27 points (-0.78%).

At the opening of trading, the yuan-to-ruble exchange rate fell by 9.5 kopecks compared to the closing level of the previous trading session and amounted to 13.75 rubles.

By 10:15 a.m. Moscow time, the yuan-to-ruble exchange rate accelerated its decline to 13,707 rubles (-13.75 kopecks).
