Russian investments in Tajikistan’s economy up to $1.9 bln — trade envoy

Russia is currently the second after China in terms of direct investments in the Tajik economy
DUSHANBE, December 23. /TASS/. Russia’s total investments in the Tajik economy have grown to $1.9 bln, with Moscow having a strong presence in terms of accumulated investments in Tajikistan, head of Russia’s trade mission in the republic Yevgeny Korenkov told TASS.
"According to data provided by the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of Tajikistan, Russia has had a strong presence in terms of the volume of accumulated investments in recent years, which totals $1.9 bln, with investments growing. Moreover, Russia is currently the second after China in terms of direct investments," he said.
As of the end of 2023, Russia’s investments in the national economy amounted to $1.8 bln.
