MOSCOW, December 23. /TASS/. Total revenues of the Telegram messenger are over $1 bln in 2024, founder of the messenger Pavel Durov wrote on his official account.

"For the first time in its 3-year history of monetization, Telegram became profitable," Durov said. "Telegram's total revenue in 2024 surpassed $1 billion, and we are closing the year with more than $500 million in cash reserves, not including crypto assets," he noted.

The number of Telegram Premium subscribers is over 12 million Durov said. The year of 2024 is very successful for the messenger, he added.
