Contracts worth over $286 million signed at Vietnam Defense Expo 2024
The exhibition attracted more than 260,000 visitors, while more than 1,800 bilateral meetings and negotiations were held on the sidelines
HANOI, December 23. /TASS/. Contracts worth over $286 million between Vietnam’s defense enterprises and other countries were signed at the Vietnam Defense Expo 2024 held in Hanoi on December 19-22, the Vietnam News Agency has said.
Sixteen contracts worth $286.3 million and 17 cooperation agreements between Vietnamese defense enterprises and companies from various countries such as the United States, India, France and Belgium were signed at the Vietnam Defense Expo 2024 international defense show, the agency said. The event reportedly brought together 242 companies and enterprises from more than 30 countries. The exposition takes up an area of over 100,000 square meters.

Russia’s exposition held under the auspices of Rosoboronexport occupied an area of over 700 square meters and featured more than 400 samples of military, civilian and dual-use products developed and manufactured by leading Russian enterprises, including those belonging to the Rostec State Corporation. About two dozen enterprises - manufacturers of weapons and military equipment for the ground forces, air force, navy, and air defense forces, as well as special purpose units and law enforcement agencies, took part in the Russian exposition. Among them there were JSC NPO High-Precision Systems, JSC Concern VKO Almaz-Antey, Kalashnikov Concern JSC, Marine Diesel Engine (RMD), Shvabe JSC, UAC and others.
