MOSCOW, December 20. /TASS/. The Moscow power system has exceeded its historical maximum power consumption, the system operator said on Friday.

Thus, the absolute record for power consumption in the Moscow and Moscow Region power system was reached on December 19, 2024, at 17:00, according to the branch of the System Operator of the Unified Center Dispatch Control. Now the historical maximum reaches 19,883 MW, which is 37 MW more than the previous record set in January this year.

At the same time, the new maximum value of power consumption in the Moscow power system was recorded at an average daily temperature of -12.5 degrees.
