Putin confirms plans to build ring road around Sea of Azov
A segment of this road has been completed, from Taganrog to Mariupol, the president said
MOSCOW, December 19. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed plans to construct a ring road around the Sea of Azov.
"We plan to build a ring road around the Sea of Azov, which has become the internal sea of the Russian Federation. This will be the road as the Taurida in Crimea: the four-lane traffic with all the advantages of such route," the head of state said.
A segment of this road has been completed, from Taganrog to Mariupol, the president said. "This is a small [segment], 40 kilometers. Planning takes place around the entire Sea of Azov," Putin noted.
One more road will be between Mariupol and Donetsk, the head of state said. "It is about 100 kilometers. To be more exact - 97 kilometers, in my opinion," Putin stressed.
"The entire road network will be restored," the Russian leader said. Russia plans to bring the entire road network of Donbass and Novorossiya to the standard condition within three years, he added.
