Trade turnover between Georgia, Russia up 3.4% in January-November 2024
With Russia being Georgia’s second-biggest trade partner, its share in the republic’s total external trade volume equaled 10.7% in the reporting period
TBILISI, December 19. /TASS/. Trade turnover between Georgia and Russia exceeded $2.2 bln in January-November 2024, which is 3.4% higher than in the same period last year, according to data released by the National Statistics Service of Georgia.
With Russia being Georgia’s second-biggest trade partner, its share in the republic’s total external trade volume equaled 10.7% in the reporting period. Georgian exports to Russia amounted to over $633.9 mln in the period (up by 4.8% in annual terms), while imports were worth more than $1.63 bln (up by 2.9%).
Turkey was Georgia’s biggest trade partner in January-November 2024, with mutual trade turnover equaling around $3 bln, up by 8.5% year-on-year, while the US came in third with mutual trade turnover exceeding $1.9 bln, down by 0.5% year-on-year, followed by China (over $1.7 bln), Germany (more than $1.2 bln), and Azerbaijan (over $1.18 bln).
