MOSCOW, December 18. /TASS/. Fesco has opened a subsidiary in Vietnam to develop maritime and intermodal container transportation in countries of Southeast Asia, the press service of the Russian shipping group told reporters.

"The company named DBF Logistics Vietnam, has two full-fledged offices in Vietnamese cities of Ho Chi Minh and Haiphong, and the commercial representation in Hanoi, the capital city of the country. The subsidiary will deal with provision of seamless operations and development of group services in Vietnam, including the Fesco Vietnam Direct Line linking Vladivostok to ports of Haiphong and Ho Chi Minh City, and the Fesco Intra Asia Service between Ho Chi Minh City and Port Klang in Malaysia," the company noted.

DBF Logistics Vietnam will provide regional clients with cargo and ship agency services, support shippers in booking processes, provide for motor transport delivery in Vietnam and deal with cargo forwarding and consolidation.

"Opening of the subsidiary in Vietnam is part of the strategy of expanding Fesco’s presence in the growing transportation market in Southeast Asia and Global South countries at large. This area is among the key ones for development of our Group. The Vietnamese company will make it possible to significantly increase quality and speed of servicing Fesco clients and partners in the region, and provider them with cutting-edge integrated logistical services," Fesco Vice President German Maslov said.
