Russian economy growing despite unprecedented sanctions — Putin
The Russian leader added that all objectives set forth for Russia in the near future and the long-term perspective will be fulfilled
MOSCOW, December 14. /TASS/. The Russian economy is growing while the country is developing in spite of unprecedented sanctions and pressure by the ruling elites of certain countries, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the 22nd United Russia party congress.
"Russia is developing, the economy is growing and this is amid sanctions, literally unprecedented in world history, against the background of gross interference and pressure on the part of the governing elites of some countries," the Russian leader noted.
This challenging period also opens up new opportunities which Russia is already taking advantage of right now, Putin concluded.
Putin added that all objectives set forth for Russia in the near future and the long-term perspective will be fulfilled.
"All tasks that we put forth for the near future and in the long term, will definitely be resolved," the Russian leader said.
