MOSCOW, December 12. /TASS/. Turbine installation has been completed at power generating unit 1 of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant (NPP) under construction in Turkey, the press service of the Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom said.

Experts thoroughly verified alignment of all components and confirmed high quality of turbine unit assembly, the press service noted. Successful completion of the operation evidences high technical readiness of the turbine and auxiliary units for the next key stage of unit commissioning - cold and hot trial runs of the reactor unit.

The Akkuyu NPP is the first nuclear power plant under construction in Turkey.
