MOSCOW, December 11. /TASS/. The dollar exchange rate surged to 108 rubles on Forex on Wednesday afternoon while the euro exchange rate rose to 113 rubles, according to ICE (a composite index of several forex brokers) on Investing.com.

As of 3:32 p.m. Moscow time (12:32 p.m. GMT) the dollar was up by 2.93% at 106.054 rubles, while the euro was up by 2.68% at 111.394 rubles.

By 3:45 p.m. Moscow time (12:45 p.m. GMT) the dollar and the euro had extended gains to 107.0005 rubles (+3.85%) and 112.423 rubles (+3.63%), respectively.

As of 3:54 p.m. Moscow time (12:54 p.m. GMT) the dollar was up by 5.06% at 108.247 rubles, while the euro was up by 4.82% at 113.71 rubles.

On Tuesday, the Bank of Russia raised the official dollar exchange rate for December 11 to 100.0324 rubles and the euro - to 106.2024 rubles.
